The ideal candidate should possess excellent driving skills, a valid driving permit, a clean driving record, and a strong understanding of road safety regulations. Key Responsibilities Safely operate the assigned company vehicle in accordance with traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies. Transport staff, clients, and authorized visitors to designated locations safely and on time. Deliver and collect cash, official documents, parcels, goods, and other items as assigned, ensuring they reach their intended destinations safely and within the required timelines. Load, transport, and offload goods and packages carefully while ensuring they are handled securely to prevent loss or damage. Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed accurately, obtaining acknowledgements or delivery confirmations where required. Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any mechanical faults, accidents, or maintenance requirements promptly. Ensure the assigned vehicle is clean, roadworthy, and properly maintained at all times. Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks, mileage records, fuel consumption records, and maintenance schedules. Coordinate routine servicing, repairs, and preventive maintenance of the assigned vehicle. Plan efficient travel routes to ensure timely transportation and delivery of goods. Maintain confidentiality when transporting staff, clients, documents, cash, or sensitive materials. Support administrative errands and other transport-related duties as assigned. Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Comply with all company policies, security procedures, and health and safety requirements. Requirements Valid Ugandan Driving Permit with the appropriate driving classes. Minimum of 3 years' professional driving experience, preferably in a corporate environment. Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or equivalent qualification. Clean driving record with no history of serious traffic offences. Good knowledge of routes within Jinja and surrounding areas. Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Ability to use a smartphone and GPS navigation (Google Maps). Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. High level of integrity, professionalism, and reliability. Ability to work flexible hours when required.
