Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Accounting Trainer role based in Nakivale. The Accounting Trainer will design and deliver training programs on foundational and advanced accounting concepts tailored to PHB’s ECD centers, partner organizations, and community groups. Day-to-day
Responsibilities
include preparing training materials, facilitating workshops and coaching sessions, and providing one-on-one support to trainees on topics such as bookkeeping, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls. The role will also involve evaluating training outcomes, identifying skills gaps, and recommending improvements to financial processes in alignment with PHB’s impact investment and VSLA pathways. The Accounting Trainer will collaborate with program, finance, and impact teams to ensure that accounting practices support sustainable operations and accurate data for decision-making.
Qualifications
Strong technical expertise in Accounting and Management Accounting, with the ability to explain complex concepts in accessible ways.
Solid background in Finance and familiarity with impact investment, budgeting, and financial analysis in community or nonprofit settings.
Professional certification such as Certified Public Accounting (CPA) or equivalent, or progress toward such a qualification.
Demonstrated Training experience, including designing curricula, leading workshops, and coaching learners with diverse educational backgrounds.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with strong attention to accuracy and detail.
