We are seeking a results-driven Assistant Sales Manager to lead yoghurt sales and distribution across Kampala. The role will be responsible for driving revenue growth, strengthening distributor performance, expanding market coverage, and ensuring effective route-to-market execution across General Trade, wholesale and mini-supermarkets.
Responsibilities
- Drive achievement of sales, revenue, distribution, and market share targets.
- Manage and develop distributor relationships, ensuring stock availability, route coverage, and sales growth.
- Lead and monitor Senior Sales Supervisors and field sales teams.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand distribution across assigned territories.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing, visibility, and customer feedback.
- Ensure effective merchandising, product visibility, stock rotation, and minimization of product expiry.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain and Logistics to ensure timely product availability and deliveries.
- Develop sales forecasts, monitor KPIs, and prepare regular performance reports.
- Drive sales promotions, market activations, and initiatives to strengthen brand presence.
- Build strong relationships with distributors and key retail customers.
- Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
- 5+ years of FMCG sales experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
