Job Purpose
- The Communication Officer will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing communication strategies that promote the institution’s image, enhance stakeholder engagement, and ensure timely dissemination of accurate information.
- Key Duties and
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement communication and publicity strategies.
- Prepare press releases, newsletters, reports, speeches, and other communication materials.
- Manage internal and external communication channels.
- Support the institution’s public relations and branding activities.
- Coordinate media relations and respond to information requests.
- Document institutional events and maintain communication records.
- Manage social media and digital communication platforms, where applicable.
- Perform any other related duties as may be assigned from time to time.
- Basic Qualification &
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Public Information, International Relations, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant working
Experience
- in communication, public relations, media, or a related field.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
