Responsibilities
- As an Early Years Teacher at KISU, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment in which young children can develop academically, socially, emotionally and physically.
- You will plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity, independence and a love of learning.
- Through a combination of structured activities and purposeful play, you will support children in developing the expected foundational skills in Early Years.
- The successful candidate will build strong and positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues and will work closely with Teaching Assistants and other members of the Early Years team to ensure every child receives the support and challenge they need to thrive.
- You will also be responsible for monitoring and assessing children’s progress, maintaining accurate records and using assessment information to inform future planning and teaching.
- A strong understanding of child development and the ability to recognise and respond to individual needs is essential.
- Qualifications, Skills and
Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field (minimum requirement)
- Qualified Teacher Status (PGCE/PGDE, QTS or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years’
- teaching in Early Years or Foundation Stage
- Strong understanding of Early Years pedagogy and child development
- working within the Development Matters Framework or a similar international curriculum
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging, creative and developmentally appropriate learning experiences
- using observation and assessment to track children’s progress and inform teaching
- Excellent classroom management and organisation skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills when working with children, parents and colleagues
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Proficient in using educational technology to enhance learning and communication
