As the Field Manager, you will lead a team of team leaders and field sales agents across an assigned region, and you will be accountable for customer acquisition, sales quality, agent productivity and conduct in the field. The role combines commercial delivery with a genuine control responsibility: in a commission-driven distribution model, the Field Manager is the first line of defence against mis-selling and agent fraud.
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or a related field; a diploma with strong relevant
Experience
- will be considered.
- • Minimum 3–5 years of field sales management
- in insurance, microfinance, mobile money, FMCG or telecommunications, including at least 2 years managing team leaders or supervisors.
- • Demonstrated track record of achieving field sales targets through a large, distributed agent force.
- • Knowledge of microinsurance, mobile money or agent-network distribution is a strong advantage.
- Skills Required
- • Sound understanding of sales conduct standards and the fair treatment of customers.
- • Strong analytical skills — able to work from agent-level performance data and act on it.
- • Excellent communication and coaching skills in English and Luganda or another widely spoken Ugandan language.
- • Demonstrable personal integrity, given the cash and commission exposure in the role.
- • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and mobile-based reporting tools.
