Summary

The primary duty of the HR and Admin supervisor involves managing the entire employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and employee relations. The supervisor is responsible for ensuring compliance with HR policies, local labor laws, and safety regulations, while also overseeing administrative functions such as payroll,

The HR and Administration Supervisor is instrumental in maintaining efficient and compliant HR processes while contributing to the overall well-being and productivity of the workforce.

Key Duties and

Administration : Manage payroll and

administration and ensure that employees receive accurate and timely compensation and benefits.

Attendance and Leave Management : Monitor and manage attendance records and leave requests, and ensure that the total leave liability remains within acceptable limits.

Health and Safety: Implement and enforce health and safety policies and procedures and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.

Administrative Support: Oversee day-to-day administrative functions, including office supplies, facilities management, and equipment maintenance, and coordinate travel arrangements and logistics for employees when necessary.

Employee Data Management : Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and databases, and ensure confidentiality and security of HR-related information.

Communication : Facilitate effective communication between management and employees, and relay important company information and updates to the workforce.

Exit Management: Handle employee separations, conduct exit interviews, and ensure smooth offboarding processes.

Legal Compliance : Stay informed about changes in employment laws and regulations in Uganda, and ensure the company’s HR practices align with legal requirements.

Qualifications & Technical Skills

A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management.

  • Performance Management: Competency in designing and implementing performance appraisal systems. and knowledge of performance improvement strategies.

  • Payroll processing : Process staff payroll requests to ensure timely and accurate payment of staff salaries

  • Data Management: Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resource Information System) usage. and data analysis and reporting skills.
