Responsibilities
Perform on-site line boring operations to repair worn or misaligned bores in heavy equipment such as excavators, wheel loaders, articulated dump trucks, backhoes, and other construction machinery. Conduct bore welding and machining processes to restore damaged bores to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications. Set up, align, and operate portable hydraulic or electric line boring machines and related tooling. Carry out precision measurements using micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and laser alignment tools to ensure accurate bore alignment and tolerances. Interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals, and specifications to determine machining requirements. Perform journal turning, flange facing, and related machining activities when required. Ensure all repairs comply with engineering standards and safety procedures. Maintain and inspect line boring equipment, tools, and accessories to ensure reliability and operational readiness. Work closely with mechanics, welders, and maintenance teams to coordinate repair activities. Prepare technical reports and documentation for completed repair works. Adhere to HSE regulations and site safety standards while operating machinery and performing repairs in workshop and field environments. Qualifications, Skills and
