Job summary
The Medical Sales Representative will be responsible for promoting, marketing, and selling Medequip Uganda's medical equipment, medical supplies, and consumables to hospitals, clinics, laboratories, and other healthcare institutions. The successful candidate will develop new business opportunities, maintain strong relationships with existing customers, achieve assigned sales targets, and support the growth of Medequip’s medical equipment business in Uganda.

Job Purpose

Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new customers and business opportunities.
- Promote and sell Medequip's medical equipment, supplies, and consumables.
- Develop and maintain relationships with hospitals, clinics, laboratories, and healthcare professionals.
- Conduct regular customer visits and field sales activities.
- Prepare quotations and follow up on submitted quotations.
- Negotiate with customers and assist in closing sales.
- Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Follow up on outstanding customer orders, deposits, and payments.
- Develop new accounts while maintaining existing customers.
- Present medical equipment and products to doctors, nurses, biomedical engineers, procurement teams and hospital management.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations.
- Develop sufficient technical and product knowledge to explain product specifications, applications, advantages and benefits.
- Participate in CME programs, exhibitions, conferences, product launches and promotional activities.
- Coordinate with the technical team for equipment demonstrations, installation and customer training when required.
- Identify new market opportunities and potential customers.
- Monitor competitors, pricing, products and market activities.
- Provide management with regular market intelligence.
- Identify upcoming hospital projects, tenders and procurement opportunities.
- Develop and maintain a database of potential and existing customers.
- Maintain professional relationships with customers and key decision-makers.
- Regularly follow up with customers after quotations, demonstrations and sales.
