- Reporting to the Database Operations Manager, the role is responsible for providing senior database administration expertise and support for the Bank’s ICT database infrastructure.
- The role is focused on creating and maintaining database environments in a proactive manner and resolving incidents/responding to service requests.
- This role provides database operations support in accordance with the data governance framework and is critical in the identification of sources of golden records.
Key Accountabilities
- To execute procedures for database operations, maintenance, security, archiving and recovery.
- Provide substantive input to systems Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plan and ensuring proper fail over setup plans.
- Effective database license management. All database licenses must be optimally used and decommission unused database servers to avoid costs above budget.

- REQUIRED:
- A University Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or Computer Engineering from a reputable institution.
- Oracle Certified Professional Qualification and or Microsoft Certified Database Administrator.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Server Operating Systems and UNIX i.e., SOLARIS & Linux.
- Excellent
