The Silk Screen Operator / Press Operator is responsible for operating silk screen and press equipment to produce printed materials in accordance with Navy quality standards and production requirements.

Working Environment
This position is located on Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT), a remote overseas location supporting U.S. Government operations. Employees may work in office, industrial, warehouse, port, airfield, and outdoor environments and may be exposed to high temperatures, humidity, inclement weather, noise, dust, and uneven terrain. Work schedules may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on operational requirements.
Physical

Responsibilities
Set up screens, prepare inks, align materials, and operate manual or automated presses to produce accurate, high‑quality prints.
Monitor press operations, adjust settings as needed, and inspect finished products to ensure color accuracy, registration, and overall print quality.
Follow established production schedules, maintain consistent output, and ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.
Clean and maintain screens and press equipment, manage ink and supply inventory, document production output, and maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
Support mission‑driven printing and production needs in a remote environment.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned that are consistent with the nature and level of the position.
