The Role
Manage own specialist caseload, using evidence-based practice and person-centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions in both hospital and community settings.
Provide day to day supervision for occupational therapy staff, support staff and students
Provide specialist clinical intervention and consultation to occupational therapy staff and other disciplines
Duties may vary depending on the care group / clinical specialty / assigned area of work.
In This Key Role, You Will
Responsible for the Occupational Therapy triage, assessment and rehabilitation for a specialist caseload
Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and modify specialist treatment interventions to meet complex individual patient needs.
Provide specialist
Education
- and advice to occupational therapy staff members, multi-disciplinary team and other agencies.
- Plan and organise the delivery of service within designated area of work.
- Undertakes audit and research in line with clinical governance agenda and may lead specific projects.
- What You'll Bring
- Registered Occupational Therapist with valid HCPC Registration
- Educated to and operating at Degree Level
- Post graduate expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently.
- Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality / area of practice.
- A driving licence is required; this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
