Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory experiments and routine biotechnology procedures.
- Prepare reagents, culture media, and laboratory solutions.
- Operate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Support research activities through sample collection, processing, and data recording.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety, biosafety, and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records, inventories, and documentation.
- Assist in training students and academic staff on laboratory procedures
- Manage laboratory supplies and report equipment faults or shortages.
- Facilitate practical lessons for students to support the research, teaching, and learning programme
- Perform any other official duties as may be assigned from time to time.
- Qualifications, Skills and
Experience

- Honors Bachelor’s Degree (first class or second class upper) in Biotechnology or Molecular biology or Biochemistry or Microbiology from a recognized awarding Institution.
- Should be registered with a professional organization where required
- Excellent knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures for laboratories (ISO etc)
- Demonstrated ability to prepare reagents, media, and laboratory solutions accurately
- Should know septic techniques, tissue culture, and microbial handling.
- One (1) year of laboratory
- or research support in an academic or research Institution.
- Should have practical
- in molecular biology or biotechnology techniques
- Age: 45 Years and below
