- national offices located in Wakiso District, Nansana Municipality and Program Coordination office in
- Mityana.
- Position: Water Engineer:
- PaCT seeks a qualified and motivated individual to fill up the position of Water Engineer to join its
- dynamic team. The Water Engineer will lead the design, implementation, and supervision of
- community water supply systems and sanitation infrastructure in PaCT’s areas of operation. The
- ideal candidate will be required to posses strong technical background, field experience, and a
- passion for community development, and knowledgeable in working with District local governments
- most especially the District Water Office.
- Key
Responsibilities
Design and oversee construction of water supply systems, including boreholes, gravity flow schemes, and rainwater harvesting systems.
Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and prepare technical reports.
Ensure compliance with engineering standards and environmental regulations.
Supervise contractors and community based construction teams.
Design and support operation and maintenance mechanisms of constructed water facilities.
Work collaboratively with district water offices and other partners to strengthen WASH interventions.
Represent PaCT at water National Technical Working Groups (TWGs) and related national related forums
Prepare project progress reports and documentation for donor reporting. Scope of Work The Water Engineer will provide technical leadership in all aspects of water project planning, design, and implementation, ensuring quality, sustainability, and community ownership.
